Who I am and what I do
I have been a costume enthusiast since I built my first costume at age 7 and have been obsessed with enjoying the freedom of “being someone else” for over 60 years. I studied theatre history and embrace the way art and fashion tell the story of our human journey in a way that historical events alone just can’t.
I ran a successful ebay store for over eight years, and sold custom leather knight belts to hundreds of would be warriors and galactic diplomats over the globe before the term cosplay became a way to describe costume wearers.
And while I still do an occasional cloth sewing project, I tend to concentrate on leather based requests as time allows. You can shop my online store and purchase any available items, but there are items that are from previous projects.
Can you order something that sold out.? The answer is yes, I can remake many custom reproductions of previous work
I am not a cookie cutter leather worker. . .my work is not intended to be perfect. I strive, instead, for the unique, so I usually cut by hand and will use primitive sewing techniques when I feel they work for the project.
And I love to play with colors that blend with items (like boots) rather than match exactly using the natural way coloring on leather captures high and low lights.
