Unique Wand Holster and Backyard Wand Set: Rainbow Pentacles Coppery Tooled Holster with Small Curved Black Wand

The bright Rainbow Metal Pentacles set off the very simple angled top and bottom narrow wand (and more) holster body which has tan carved stripe and dark brown edges surrounding an interior field stamped with one of my favorite half circle sunburst border tools, painted bright copper. Two asymmetrical flaps of rather stiff dark brown chrome tan have each been given a narrow stripe (also painted copper) and are mounted diagonally at approximately thirds from top and bottom and are permanently secured shut using rainbow pentacle decorated screw Chicago screws to the left side. The 1/4” line from edges of the main body is saddle stitched with brown waxed thread and secures the flaps to the body as well as providing decoration. The top of the wand has a carved pentacle copper painted scalloped edge concho that has been embellished with sewn on rainbow iridescent metal pentacle charm . This wand holster will fit a belt up to 3” wide—the belt loop is secured with antique copper rivets that blend in with the copper paint, One of my simplest wand holsters this one still presents a bright and elegant contrast to the very simple, curvy thin black wand with black suede wrapped leather handle topped with purple faceted plastic gem. The belt shown in one of the photos is sold separately. The wand and holster measure about 10-3/4” L X 2-3/4” W X 1-1/4” D (not counting the back loop)

Every wand holster (and the related steampunk sonic screwdriver holster group) is unique because each piece is designed using scraps from my bigger projects. I am inspired by the natural edges of leather in all my builds, but these little holders for basically tubular items are just plain fun. All the weird angles, fluted bits of natural edging and leftover strapping contribute to the fun and when decorative thematic elements are added thru stamping, carving, embossing, colors chosen then dyed and painted, metallic charms, conchos, bezels, buttons further define the individual pieces. Elastic loops hold most wands in place and the top and bottom “closures” are added for security and for design continuity. You ask can I buy just the holster? Yes. Though my price for the set is the best value for the money you can leave the wand behind by heading to my contact me area, I can send you an invoice for the single piece.

Back yard wands originate exactly as you assumed. I cast about for what I think will make fun wands and go to town with carving, coloring and finishing each piece before I add a wrapped leather handle topped with either a small faceted plastic “gem” or a small dragons eye, if it will fit.
