Black with Red sewn on Demon Lover antique Nickel sculpted Decor sits atop a red and black tooled and pebble textured pentacle leather badge on this unique 4D Handbag ( or Crossbody Purse) 3 piece set. And, as it is shown in main photo, I like to call it the Demon Lovers Lunch Box referring to its very boxy shape and the flat screwed on handle.
The round badge is carved tooled, the raised details painted red, with a 5 pointed star (pentacle) denoting the 5 elements earth, air, water fire and spirit; these points are accented with nickel tone rivets and the badge is sewn on with red waxed thread to the oval flap. The said flap attaches to the main body with a magnetic snap and can be additionally secured with a small black shoestring, tied thru holes and secured from the bottom d-ring attachment (see the additional photos below). The round is surrounded by 4 sewn on nickel tone pentacle charms which re enforce the supernatural theme of the piece.
The bag has a 1/8” carved black edge around its entirety and an adjacent 1/4” red painted (using Angelus acrylic shoe paint) stripe joins the edge as the remaining accent of this unusual boxy folded bag of 5-6 oz veg-tan leather dyed black. The carved handle, as described above, is attached by using a flat blade screwdriver—the star decorated chicago screws can also serve as decoration to fill the holes, when the bag is in crossbody mode. Nickle d-rings attached with rivets to the sides can be pulled up and used to snap the included 3/4” red and black striped strap which is also included in this set.
This chubby hand/crossbody bag was called Avery by the Tandy pattern company and features folded in sides, as shown, to create roundish box that measures about 4-1/2 to 5” Long (oval flap lays over at a slant) X about 7” Wide x about 4-1/4” Deep.
