Sale Price: $120.00 Original Price: $130.00

2 pieces. This one of a kind leather purse/pouch features a recycled trophy belt buckle of antique brass with plenty of bedazzling which has been sewn securely onto the natural edged flap—Dimentsions about 6-1/2” W x 7-1/4” in the center (determined by the leather itself) which is a stitched on extension of the full body of the pouch that measures flat about ( 6-1/2” W x about 11-1/2” L). The pocket is formed by stitching the stiff rounded bottom gussets ( 1-3/8” W X 5-1/8” L) with my distinctive overcast and wrapped primitive technique to produce a single cavity (6-3/4” W X about 6-3/4” L flexes up X 1-1/2” D) , big enough to carry most cell phones, wallets, keys, and small items for a day of adventuring.

The rather stiff veg-tan leather (about 6-7 oz) came from the plant already colored canyon tan and while it is easily marred it is just as easily touched up with a bit of leather oil (neatsfoot/mink) which also nourishes the leather but please be a little stingy with the application of oil and let it dry completely before putting it against clothing,

The entire pouch is carved with 1/4” black edges and the sides were carved again at about 1/2”, stamped with a sunburst scalloped border tool and dyed oxblood. A navy painted French curved field 1-1/4’ tapering to 1/2” is decorated with antique brass rivets , divides the flap approximately in halves and forms the focal point for the shiny centerpiece of the bag. The closure wrap oxblood thong (tipped with fun metal and wooden beads) goes around a stamped scalloped leather concho decorated with an antique brass art nouveau bezel and and allows the bag flexibility for things that would be too long for a fixed closure. Glued on black suedecloth lining protects the sewn on elements and adds a bit more stiffness and substance to the project.
