Leather Harness for Fashion/Cosplay Size Larger Variation Textured Red with Gunmetal Hardwaere and Dark Grey Stitching

$55.00

This rather traditional variation of my versatile and easy fit fashion harness features deep red firmer textured front chrome tan leather , utilizes antique gunmetal hardware and is sewn with dark grey waxed thread that contrasts with the leather. It fits larger frames and can be worn as a suspender look front (as displayed on the larger mannequin with Vadar) or reversed to show the y arrangement in front as shown on the main image of this listing. It was never intended for adult play but only as a decorative body piece or for carrying extremely light cosplay pieces.

I have chosen to show this dark red and deep grey variation only in the main picture. . .the other views are of the popular black leather with nickel hardware and matching thread

It is appropriate as a piece for all genders and I have elected to show it on larger as well as regular and muted gender torso mannequins. This harness is designed to generally fit about halfway between your chest/bust and your waist. . .call it your lower ribcage or upper waist region and is not usually long enough to go around the actual waist.

11 pieces are 3/4” wide hand cut chrome tan leather in varying sizes glued, riveted, and sewn around 6 O rings (4 -1-1/4” and 2-1”) into the y shaped definitive main front (or back) with buckling adjustable shoulder straps. The third buckle acts as a belt to adjust the bottom band (lower ribcage, upper waist area)

All measurements are approximate and more details about measurements are shown in detail below.

  • The 2 piece shoulder straps measure from top of smaller 1” O rings to the stitching line of the moveable sewn loop (that goes around the lower band) about 18” to about 24” adjustable with 3/4” buckles with 9 holes

  • The definitive Y configuration measures about 13” from bottom of center waist ring to where the shoulder strap wraps round the smaller rings.

  • This makes the entire length of the project bottom band to bottom band over the shoulder 31” to about 37.”

  • The bottom band around: from buckle to the first hole of the bottom band is about 41-1/2” and can fit up to 49”, with 10 holes about 3/4” apart.

  • Measure yourself to get an idea of how the piece will fit you. (see below for measuring instructions and details about fitting and variations)

The harness can be refit a little smaller by putting in more holes, but the buckles and/or wraps around the rings may need to be moved for the best look—your leather repair person needs only rudimentary skills to achieve this. You can even experiment by crossing over the shoulder straps for a smaller frame.

All cut edges and the back (flesh) side of the leather have been burnished with tokonole for smoothness and longevity. As mentioned all six O rings, the many decorative rivets and 3- 3/4” strap buckles are gunmetal and the dark grey stitching lines contrast the darker red, a classic black and red vibe. If you are larger than the measurements stated here ((or need customization), please contact me,

All these measurements are approximate and can vary up to 1/2” with individual projects. Also, the number of holes denoted in this description designates the minimum holes used on all projects. Some have as many as 3 extra already made to adjust smaller. The measurements based on those minimum holes are within the 1/2” variance noted above. All holes are 3/4” apart from center of hole to the next center of hole. Remember you can make these harnesses smaller, but not larger as the final hole on all the tapered tails are at 1-3/4”: Just long enough to tuck into the strap buckle.‍ ‍

If you choose to cut excess off the tails after you have adjusted your fit, I suggest you keep at least 2-1/4 inch tail just in case you want a little more room that you might initially think you need

Measure yourself (easy with a friend): . Tie a string around your ribcage, upper waist where you think you want your harness to fit (usually about 1/2 between your chest or underbust and your actual waist). With a tailor’s tape measure go around the circumference to see how you compare to the lower band/belt range. Place the tape measure in the center front of that string (above your belly button and measure over the shoulder to back about halfway between the spine and the shoulder blade (like where a women’s bra or bathing suit would have a strap attached). Is the length within the range. It should fit you.
